Everyone here smokes weed and it stinks almost everywhere! The unit I was showed was not the same as what I was given upon signing the lease, I kept requesting to see it but they stated they couldnât because the tenant hadnât moved out. Completely old with carpet and cheap applicants, popcorn ceilings, very liminal and depressing. Constant electricity outages and utility workers blocking the parking lot gates. Honestly it kind of sucked living here.

Over all living here wasn't so bad. Had the normal pot smokers stinking everything up, people throwing your laundry on the floor because they needed the washer more. The biggest red flag is how they abate mold. Had a neighbor's water pipe break which flooded my kitchen and a month later their was mold in my cabinets when I reported it they sprayed sanitizer on it and painted the cabinets. If you have ever done proper water damage or mold clean up you know you have to open the walls and dry everything out or else you aren't truly killing the mold it will just continue to grow inside the walls damaging the structure.

After moving out, Tribeca Apartments sent us an invoice for over $1,000 for things like reglazing kitchen counter/cabinet,repainting walls, heavy cleaning, and other charges that seemed unreasonable. They also calculated the prorated rent incorrectly. I explained to the manager, Kara, that some of these charges appeared to go against tenant laws regarding normal wear and tear. Especially the repainting of the wallsâif a tenant has lived in California for more than two years, they generally should not be charged for painting due to normal wear and tear. Regarding the cabinet reglazing, I also believe this falls under normal wear and tear since we lived in the apartment for over three years, so Iâm not sure why this was charged. I am still currently trying to dispute these charges. ( against the law ) They did revise some of the charges after we followed up multiple times, but the cabinet reglazing and cleaning charges are still on the invoice even though we left the apartment in ok condition. During our stay of over three years, we were always on time with our rent payments and followed the community rules as responsible tenants. The community itself was quiet and felt safe, and the property was fairly well maintained. The maintenance team was great. Whenever something needed to be fixed, they were always quick to respond and take care of it, so thank you to the maintenance staff. However, there were still some downsides while living here. The rent increased significantly every year, the walls are very thin so you can easily hear your neighbors, and our downstairs neighbors frequently smoked weed, which sometimes came through the windows. We managed by keeping our windows closed. Management was also very strict when it came to having family or guests over and would sometimes question it, which felt uncomfortable. Although René was very friendly throughout our stay there. But the move-out charges are ridiculous. After reading other reviews, I hope no other tenants have to experience the same issue. Please make sure to review your contract and your move-out invoice carefully and know your rights as a tenant.
